志賀島
ここは、西暦５７年に後漢の光武帝が倭の奴の国王に授けたという金印が発見された場所。金印公園や志賀海神社を訪れると、はるか遠い昔の息吹が聞こえてきそうだ。夏には、海水浴客でにぎわう。
Shika no Shima

小倉城・小倉城庭園・松本清張記念館
小倉城庭園は、江戸時代の大名屋敷を再現したもので、書院棟と日本庭園、展示棟、体験コーナーからなる。近くには、小倉城をはじめ北九州出身の作家、松本清張の創作活動を展示・紹介した記念館もある。

芦屋釜の里
鎌倉・室町時代に茶の湯釜の名器として一斉を風靡した芦屋釜。その歴史を紹介すると同時に、工房では４００年の歳月を越え、釜の復興に取り組んでいる。
Ashiyagama no Sato
The Ashiyagama kiln is an important national cultural asset, famous for producing many of the beautiful Kamakura and Muromachi tea ceramics still known today. A production workshop for the kiln has been set up.

柳川
立花１２万石の城下町。ドンコ船の川くだりは水郷ならではの情緒があじわえる。北原白秋の故郷としても有名で、生家や記念館、詩碑苑がある。旧立花家の別邸「御花」は鹿鳴館風の洋館で、国指定の名勝（庭園）の松濤園がある。

鬼夜
日本三大火祭のひとつ。場所は大善寺玉垂宮。１月７日の午後９時、神殿で１週間守った鬼火を移すと、直径１ｍ、長さ１２ｍの大タイマツが６本、闇の中に燃え上がる。火の粉が飛び散り、鬼堂から鬼が飛び出して勇壮な火祭りがはじまる。

英彦山
日本三大修験の場として、九州全域から信仰を集めていた英彦山、わが国最初の国定公園に指定され、雄大な自然と歴史の宝庫で高原スポーツの場として多くの観光客が訪れている。
Hiko Mt.
This mountain, worshipped as a sacred place for ceenturies, is home to Hiko Mt. Shrine, where you can find the popular Hiko Mt. rattle for warding off ecil spirits.

豊前国分寺三十塔
豊津町のこじんまりした人家の間に、ひっそりと建つ三十塔は九州でも３カ所しかなく、その中でもここは奈良法隆寺の塔と並び全国一の高さ。
Buzen Kokubunji Temple Three-Story Tower
Kokubunji Temple, built in the Nara Period. The three-story tower, built in Meiji 28, along with the one at Hokkiji Temple in Nara, is the tallest three-story tower in Japan.

平尾台
小倉南端に広がる長方形のカルスト高原。緑の高原に白いカレンフェルド（石灰塔）が突き出した様子は、羊の群れに例えられる。ハイキング、アスレチック、パラグライダー。鍾乳洞めぐりなどさまざまに楽しめる。

嘉穂劇場
日本劇場建築の特徴である両花道、枡席、回り舞台を持ち、現在もそのままの姿で利用されている全国唯一の劇場で、重みをｓ感じさせる木造２階建。大衆演劇のメッカとして旅役者の「全国座長大会」は特に有名。

魚楽園
雪舟が、中国で学んだ作庭の技術を生かして築庭したと伝えられる。天然の山林を巧みに活かし、岩清水を引いた池に中島を作り、周囲にはつつじや老松を配して、四季折々の美が堪能できる。
Fujieshi Gyorakuen
The garden of the house which used to belong to the Fujie family. Designed using Chinese methods, it is filled with old pine trees and an island in the middle of the pond.

小石原民陶
４００年もの昔に開窯された小石原焼は、現在５０戸をこえる窯元があり、民陶としての素朴な用と美は世界的に知られ、　伝統工芸として高い評価を得ている。毎年、春と秋に民陶祭が行われる。

秋月
筑後の小京都。福岡から分家した秋月藩の城跡付近は、桜並木が美しい。城下町入り口にかかるアーチ型の目鏡橋は、日本でも数少ない御影石製だ。古処山ふもとにはキャンプ場があり、絶好の納涼地となってる。

原鶴温泉・筑後川温泉

川渡り神幸祭
新緑の５月、第３土日曜日に彦山川で、のぼりを立てた山車と神興が水しぶきをあげて川を渡る勇壮な男の祭りで多くの見物客でにぎわう。

小倉祇園太鼓
無法松の一生で有名な小倉祇園太鼓は両面打ちの太鼓。ヤッサ、ヤレヤレのかけ声にのって山車の太鼓が響きわたる八坂神社の夏祭り。約１００台の太鼓山車が競い合う競演会も見ものだ。

上野焼
李朝陶技の流れをくみ、小倉藩の御用窯として発達した遠州七窯のひとつ。灰釉・銅釉･鉄釉を使った多種多様の色彩美が特徴で、主に登り窯、蹴ろくろの技法を使用。気品のある名陶だ。
Agano-yaki
Tea implements ordered by Tadaoki Hosokawa, head of the kokura Clan in 1602. There are 28 kilns in Akaike Town.
